I’m writing this guide live, as the season unfolds. I’ve just wrapped week 1 and finished Kimberly’s awakening, so week 1 below is first-hand; the later weeks follow the schedule.
One-line summary
Lost Rainforest — a jungle where a poisoned great river drives a three-clan faction war. The headline new system is Hero Awakening. About 8 weeks.
Core systems
Hero Awakening is basically the whole season. Prereqs: 5★ + EW Lv20 + 50 awakening shards (not HQ-gated). It swaps the expertise skill for a stronger awakening skill, adds a large chunk of stats, and changes the hero’s appearance (avatar, model, art, battle effects). Shards come free from Awakening Trials and Global Expedition (weeks 2/4/6). I hit 50 shards in week 1 and awakened Kimberly — the AoE damage difference is immediately noticeable, and I’ll admit the new look is more satisfying than I expected.
The rest of the season’s systems, briefly. Faction (clan) war contests Influence at the faction scale, so server and faction politics matter beyond your own alliance. Rainforest’s Wrath is the Week-1 mega event: first kills of Doom Elites build alliance Support Points, and enough of them triggers a Giant Devouring Flower — clear it for box rewards, while your personal Support Points feed a Skill Medal milestone. Trade Posts and Governors: Trade Posts (Lv1–4) open in Week 1, and top War Merit ranks become Trade Post Governors of the warzone. Sanctuaries, Altars, Outposts, Fishing Grounds are season-limited stronghold and siege content — hit the capture/destroy objectives on alliance calls.
Priorities
- Finish EW Lv20 on the awaken targets (Kimberly/DVA/Tesla) first — no Lv20, no awakening.
- Claim the free awakening shards (Trials + Global Expedition weeks 2/4/6) every single time.
- Faction/Sanctuary/Outpost: follow alliance calls; personally, focus on permanent-growth rewards (Skill Medals, shards, decorations).
- Black Market at season end for EW shards — the F2P carry-completion route (below).
Point 1 is the real gate. In our alliance a few people only discovered their EW wasn’t at Lv20 after the season started, and there’s not much you can do at that point. The Kimberly EW I’d been quietly leveling since Season 1 paid off in full here.
Week-by-week
Because the EW, awakening, and expedition schedules land on specific weeks, the meta shifts week to week even within Season 6. Track the Hero Tier List by week.
Week 1 — Open + Kimberly awakening + Rainforest’s Wrath (been through it)
Kimberly’s awakening opens — she’s the first awaken target, so if her EW is at Lv20, start immediately. I ran the Awakening Trials through the week, filled out the 50 shards, and finished the awakening around the weekend.
Rainforest’s Wrath (7 days) works like this: split the Doom Elite first-kills across the alliance to build Support Points, then clear the Giant Devouring Flower with rallies when it spawns. We assigned first-kill targets in alliance chat, and the points filled noticeably faster that way. Don’t forget the personal Skill Medal milestone.
The same week brings City Lv1–2 and Trade Posts (Lv1–4); chase the War Merit ranking if you want a governor seat. The first EW of the season also releases this week.
Week 2 — Global Expedition (awakening shards)
Global Expedition — the key free awakening-shard source. Clear the objectives (alarm towers and the rest) with your alliance all the way, and keep raising Kimberly’s awakening level through trials. This is exactly where I’m standing right now, and I’ve cleared my schedule around the expedition timings this week.
Week 3 — DVA awakening + cross-warzone PvP
DVA’s awakening opens (air-line carry; EW Lv20 required). Cross-warzone PvP also arrives — free teleport between warzones opens up, along with outpost construction and fortress captures, capped at 2 cities + 2 fortresses per day, so hit them efficiently. The second EW opens too.
Week 4 — Global Expedition #2
Second shard intake; reinforce DVA and Kimberly’s awakening levels. Faction influence competition accelerates into mid-season — hold your strongholds on alliance calls.
Week 5 — Tesla awakening + Sanctuary Duel opens
The Tesla awakening window (missile line). Sources differ between week 5 and 6 on the exact timing — confirm with the in-game calendar. Sanctuary Duel (Sat) begins — the season’s hardest fight; destroying an enemy Sanctuary shifts huge Influence between factions. Save your strength for Saturday.
Week 6 — Global Expedition #3 + final EW
Third shard intake, and the third EW completes the season’s 3. Sanctuary Duel round 2 (Sat) — the week to lock in your influence lead.
Week 7 — Sanctuary Duel finals
Sanctuary Duel round 3 (Sat). The final faction influence verdict lands here.
Week 8 — Wrap-up + Black Market
Clean up remaining trial, expedition, and event rewards, then top up EW shards in the Black Market (below).
Post-season — Black Market
When the season ends, the Black Market opens — the best time for free and light spenders to complete an exclusive weapon.
Top priority is the EW shard choice chest: one EW takes 50 named shards, 150 for all 3 seasonal weapons. The market refreshes 8 times a day, and using every refresh you can collect around 150 shards in one window — enough to unlock all three. Decorations come second; permanent stat bonuses compound over time, and rare ones are worth the long-term investment. Claim the free rewards before refreshing, and stick to the principle of permanent upgrades (shards, decorations) over consumables you get easily in normal play.
Caution
Before piling shards onto one hero for awakening, confirm the EW Lv20 prerequisite — stockpiling shards without it is low priority. And faction/Sanctuary fights are high-loss content: never go in solo without shields, a rally, and scouting. Charging in alone and getting a squad wiped is a mistake I already made in an early event, so I can advise against it with full confidence.
