When to use server compare
Once you've narrowed your migration shortlist, use this page to line up as many as four candidate servers on identical metrics: strength tier (relative within the same migration group), server power (estimated from public leaderboards), rank in group, season progress and open date. The higher server power gets the verdict badge, but which metric matters depends on your goal — for a home to grow in, position in group and season progress can matter more; if you're joining a top alliance, raw top-end power matters most.
The strength tier is not an absolute grade — it is relative within the same migration group. All data comes from in-game public information crowdsourced by the collector app, so freshness can differ per server. Start from the big picture at Server rankings, and check your transfer range at Migration finder.
How to use it
- Enter 2–4 server numbers to compare.
- Press Compare to line up strength tier, server power, rank in group, season and open date in one table.
- Judge by the metric that fits your goal — position in group and season progress for a home to grow in, top-end power for joining a top alliance.
FAQ
What if a server has no data? Servers not yet collected show as "No data." Open that server's ranking with the collector app to populate it.
Is the strength tier an absolute rank? No — it is relative within the same migration group, so tiers can't be compared directly across different groups.
Compare is the second step, not the first
Choosing a server usually runs in two stages: scan your migration group on the server ranking to get down to three or four candidates, then bring them here to sit side by side on identical metrics. With a wide field still open, the ranking page gets you there faster.
What is being compared
- Strength tier / group rank
- Both are relative within a migration group. Comparing servers from different groups makes the tiers non-comparable — fall back on absolute figures such as estimated power.
- Estimated server power
- Inferred from collected hero-power samples. Sampling bias introduces error, so treat narrow gaps as noise rather than signal.
- Season / active event
- Where the server sits in the season cycle. Different seasons mean different maps and mechanics, which changes the cost of adapting after a move.
- Opening date
- Server age, from which weekly scheduling and season progress are derived.
Which metric should decide it
The verdict line favours whichever server has more estimated power, but that is not always the right call.
- Planning to settle and grow long term: group position and season progress matter more, and joining early in a season means experiencing its content from the start.
- Aiming to join a top alliance: look at the size of the top end, and cross-check the server's VIP18 roster.
- Arriving as a newcomer who wants room to climb: prefer servers where power is less concentrated. The transfer finder scores exactly that.
When the comparison is trustworthy
It holds up when both servers were refreshed at similar times. One row from yesterday against one from three weeks ago can show a gap that is lag rather than reality. Where a value reads "insufficient data", drop that row from your reasoning instead of interpreting it. Everything here comes from crowdsourced collection of publicly displayed in-game rankings, not from a game API.
