Hero Tier List — Dynamic Tiers by Investment Stage (Season 6)

Tier isn't fixed — it's a function of "investment stage + season." The same hero is rated differently at 5★, EW Lv20, and awakened. Below is a Season 6 snapshot of the 15 UR exclusive-weapon heroes; all ratings are our own (updated 2026-06-26).

Why tiers move

  • Base (5★) — unlocks the 4th skill and super-sensory (4★, +20% stats). Below 3★ they underperform.
  • EW Lv20 — unlocks +7.5% to the whole same class, bumping the tier up a step. It's also the awakening prerequisite.
  • EW Lv30 — the weapon fully maxed. The exclusive weapon is a large share of a hero's power (~40% for Kimberly), so at max practically every UR reaches S; SS above that comes only from awakening.
  • Awakening (new in S6) — only for those meeting the prerequisites (5★ + EW Lv20 + shards): Kimberly, DVA, Tesla. Another step up.

The table splits these three stages. A single-number ranking misleads. The most valuable stat in the S6 meta is still damage reduction.

Investment priority

  1. Take one main carry from 5★ → EW Lv20. (Lv30 cost spikes — get all your mains to Lv20 first.)
  2. Main front-line tank to EW Lv20 (Williams/Murphy — big impact in the damage-reduction meta).
  3. Supports/utility (Marshall, Schuyler, Morrison, etc.) come after carries and tanks hit Lv20.
  4. Awakening starts with Kimberly, DVA, Tesla once their EW is Lv20. Shards are free from Awakening Trials + Global Expedition (weeks 2/4/6).

Don't: dribble Lv10 into several EWs → zero impact. Push one to Lv20, then move on.

Free-to-play note

The F2P backbone is Murphy + Mason (SSR→UR) + Marshall, and prioritize Kimberly if you get her. EW shards can be farmed for free from the between-season black market shard boxes (takes patience). SSR→UR promotable: Mason, Violet, Scarlett, Sara, Venom.
