← Spending. Straight to the point: when you’re wondering what to buy in Last War, the question that matters is “what’s up this week?” Spending splits three ways — one-off packages, battle passes, and Super Deal (hot deal) shops — and the battle pass and Super Deal shop rotate weekly as a pair. All you have to check is whether this week’s combo matches your systems and permanent value. (General info — purchases are your budget and call.)
There’s a reason this article exists. Early on I got baited by a “Limited!” tag and bought a resource package with terrible value. The resources evaporated in a week, and when I later converted the price into gold bricks and dollars, the loss was obvious. Ever since, I run the conversion before buying anything — and this article is basically that habit written down.
0. Gold Bricks (GB) — the basis for every paid pass/package
Almost every paid pass tier and package price is shown in Gold Bricks (GB). The reference is roughly 500 GB ≈ $4.99, with ~5% bonus on top-up. Read a “2,000 GB” pass as roughly $19.99 in value. This is exactly what I started doing after the “Limited!” pack burned me — convert the sticker price to GB, then GB to dollars. Do it once and you’ll stop getting baited. And don’t bleed GB on instant-finishes or small skips; keep it for permanent value.
1. The weekly rotation (shop + battle pass pair)
A season runs an 8-week schedule; after it ends, an off-season 4-week cycle repeats until the next season (reset at season start). Each week pairs one Super Deal shop with one battle pass.
| Week (season) | Super Deal shop | Battle pass |
|---|---|---|
| 2 · 6 | Bounty Hunter | Hero Growth |
| 3 · 7 | Glittering Market | Overlord Training |
| 4 · 8 | Bullseye Loot + Ammo Bonanza | Drone Training |
| 5 | Total Mobilisation | Special Training |
| 1 · 3 · 6 | (Exclusive Weapon pass is separate) | — |
Off-season repeats just those 4 rows (shop + pass) over 4 weeks. Treasure Plunder, Custom Weekly Pass, and Decorate Your Dreams have been removed and no longer appear.
2. The 4 battle passes (+ the EW pass)
Passes use a Free / Advanced / Premium structure. Take the free track no matter what, and buy a paid tier only when that pass matches the system you’re raising right now. Battle passes are the center of my own low-spend budget, but I don’t buy them blindly — I pick by the criteria below.
- Hero Growth — wk 2·6. Universal hero shards or exclusive-weapon shards. Buy when your carry is featured.
- Overlord Training — wk 3·7. Overlord upgrade items. Appears once the Overlord unlocks (after Season 2).
- Drone Training — wk 4·8. Drone upgrade items (drone skill chests). Almost always worth it while raising your drone.
- Special Training — wk 5. Gear-upgrade materials (ore, dielectric ceramic). Most useful early, while you’re still building new gear.
Exclusive Weapon Battle Pass (season wk 1·3·6, separate): unlocks that season’s 3 heroes’ exclusive weapons (EW). Premium unlocks the EW early. But F2P/low spenders can unlock EWs for free at the off-season Black Market, so only buy the EW pass on your main troop type’s carry week and wait out the rest (hero tier list). I run a tank squad, so I only ever target tank-carry weeks and covered everything else through the Black Market.
Value rule: buy a pass only while you’re raising that system. A pass for a system you aren’t building just banks unused materials. I didn’t get this distinction early on, and those pass materials are still sitting in my warehouse.
3. The 4 Super Deal shops
Bounty Hunter — wk 2·6
Shoot zombies to collect Bounty Vouchers, then spend them in the shop. Take out the golden zombies in the air first (they give more vouchers), then use a Jammer to scatter the ground zombies and move to a fresh zone. Jammers refill daily. Point milestones:
| Points | Reward |
|---|---|
| 300 | 1 Luxury Choice Chest |
| 1,000 | 2 Legendary Decoration Chest |
| 1,800 | 3 Luxury Choice Chest |
| 3,000 | 4 Legendary Decoration Chest |
| 5,000 | 5 Luxury Choice Chest |
Shop priority: Drone Chests, Bond Badges, Certificates, Drone Parts — the cheap “must-buy” items. Vouchers carry over to the next event, so there’s no pressure to dump them all.
Glittering Market — wk 3·7
A premium shop bought with Glitter Coins (mostly real-money bundles, some daily-free). Featured: Mythic Blueprints, stat skins, drone upgrades, Legendary Blueprints, Drone Skill Chips. Coins carry over, so the standard play is banking toward the expensive core item (Mythic Blueprints). F2P: the daily-free coins alone will eventually get you to a base skin or blueprints. I claim mine every day without fail.
Bullseye Loot + Ammo Bonanza — wk 4·8
A paired event: earn ammo in Ammo Bonanza (5 days), then climb levels in Bullseye Loot. F2P usually gets ~12 ammo/day (60 over 5 days). Reaching level 100 takes ~668 ammo on average (711 = 99.9%; bank 720 to be safe). Rewards: Mythic Gear Blueprints, Upgrade Ore (pick the 2,500 ore), Ceramics, Legendary Blueprints. The whole trick is saving ammo across cycles — that’s how F2P/low spenders reach the final level and the Mythic Blueprints (calculators). My first two cycles I spent the ammo every time and got stuck with mid-tier rewards; only after switching to banking did I make it to the end.
Total Mobilisation — wk 5
Buy Mobilization packs for Mobilization Coupons, then exchange them for exclusive-weapon shards, Legendary Blueprints, and so on. The milestone final prize is 10 Mythic Blueprints at 2,000 coupons. There are no free coupons — it’s spender-only, and I don’t touch it. But watching the big spenders in my alliance, this is where they concentrate their week-5 budget: each pack grants VIP points like a diamond pack, and Mythic Blueprint sources are scarce enough that it’s a rational play for whales. Spenders should focus on what they lack (Legendary Blueprints, Drone Components).
Companion milestone events: buying packs feeds Energy Loot Quest / Moonstone Blessing (they alternate) with badges/moonstone for extra milestone rewards. If you’re buying, concentrate it in the same week.
4. One-off packages by price tier
| Tier | Example | Nature | Priority |
|---|---|---|---|
| $0.99 | Initial buy (Kimberly) pack | One-time, permanent (SS carry) | ★★★★★ |
| ~$5 | Second Builder pack | Permanent (parallel builds) | ★★★★ |
| ~$5 | Daily sale shard bundle | Targeted permanent (main shards) | ★★★★ |
| ~$5 | Extra marching queue | Permanent (gather/expedition) | ★★★ |
| $19.99 | Monthly / Seasonal Pass Premium | Long-term backbone | ★★★★★ |
| Varies | Resource/speedup bundles | Consumable | ★★ |
Initial buy $0.99 (Kimberly)
The single best one-time ROI in the game. SS-tier carry Kimberly + Gold Bricks (~1,000 GB) + speedups. Once per account, in the first 24–48 hours. Of everything I’ve spent on this game, this is the only purchase I’ve never second-guessed for even a second. If you’ll buy anything, this is priority one.
Second Builder pack (~$5)
Build queues 1→2 for parallel upgrading — a permanent boost worth hundreds of hours. (Also unlocked at VIP 6 — VIP deep dive.)
Daily sale shard bundle (~$5)
Pick shards for heroes you actually use, plus diamonds and VIP points. Completes mains reliably, unlike random pulls.
5. Weekly checklist (handling the rotation)
This is literally the order I run through every Monday.
- Is this week’s battle pass the system you’re raising? (drone→Drone, gear→Special, overlord→Overlord) → buy if so.
- This week’s Super Deal shop: Bullseye/Glittering = Mythic Blueprint route; Bounty = daily free shooting + Drone Chests/Bond Badges; Total Mobilisation = spenders only.
- EW Battle Pass (wk 1·3·6): pinpoint your carry only; wait out the rest at the Black Market.
- Honor shop (weekly) & season-pass free track — no missed claims (shop guide).
6. Recommended order by spender profile
F2P / low ($0–5/mo) — this is the road I actually walk.
- (Day 1) $0.99 Kimberly.
- Bank Bullseye Loot ammo across cycles → Mythic Gear Blueprints (F2P power-wall break).
- Stack Glittering Market daily-free coins.
- Pinpoint only the battle pass for your system (drone/gear).
Monthly spender (~$20/mo)
- Super Monthly $19.99 immediately → backbone + VIP uptime.
- Seasonal Pass Premium (if finishing the season).
- Hero Growth / EW pass on your carry’s week.
Above that
- Permanent value first (EW, awakening shards, blueprints). Total Mobilisation Mythic Blueprints are a limited big-spender source — the spending pattern I see from my alliance’s whales follows exactly this line.
What to avoid
All of these are things I’ve done or watched someone in the alliance do. Buying a battle pass for a system you aren’t raising — it just banks materials (my warehouse is the evidence). Buying speedups or resource chests in the Glittering Market — coin waste; stick to blueprints and drone chips. Spending Bullseye ammo every cycle — you have to bank it to reach the Mythic-Blueprint level. And ignoring weekly/season refreshes — that’s permanent value in the Honor, Season, and Golden shops quietly forfeited.
